Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have tendered contract to a number of restricted free agents including: QB Austin Davis, S Rodney McLeod and FB Cory Harkey.
According to Thomas, the Rams used the highest qualifying offer on McLeod, who received a second-round tender worth $2.356 million.
Both Davis and Harkey received original round tenders that will pay them a salary of $1.542 million for the 2015 season. Should either Davis or Harkey receive an offer from another team, the Rams would have the opportunity to match, but they wouldn’t get any compensation if they declined an offer sheet from another team.
Davis, 25, appeared in 10 games last year and threw for 2,001 yards while completing 63.4 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
McLeod, 24, recorded 72 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and six pass defenses over the course of 16 games.
